Lisa – Portrait Photography – Louisville, Ky – Mellwood Art Center
by wlk photography
This is my Aunt Lisa. This past Christmas, while she was in town from Virginia, we did a chilly photo session at Mellwood. Lisa has non-hodgkin’s lymphoma. She was diagnosed this past summer and just started her treatment this month. With the beginning of chemo she wanted to capture how she looked now, before she began to change. While I was snapping away, Lisa was meditating on her journey with cancer – and saying goodbye to her hair (notice the hats she has already picked out). It was an honor to be a part of her journey and preparation. She has such an amazing faith in God and has inspired me tremendously. Please keep her in your prayers. http://seekinghimdesperately.blogspot.com/
These are beautiful, but more than the physical beauty is the inner beauty that Lisa has that shines through these pictures. Thank you for sharing them. God, bless Lisa through this journey…..please heal her completely and may You receive the glory through this.
My favourites are the ones by the brick wall (second to last) and the big metal door. Nice locations.
Whitney, what a treasure you are! You have blown me away with your talent and your heart for capturing the moment. In looking at these pictures, all the chills of the weather have been replaced with God-chills. Oh the things that He will do…is doing…has already done. Thank you for your pure vision and willing mad-skills. The journey has begun!
Absolutely beautiful photos of a beautiful woman! Lisa will always be beautiful, no matter what cancer treatment does to her outward appearance! Praying for her daily!
Thank you for taking these pictures of Lisa. She is so beautiful, but the beauty that she has is so much deeper than her physical appearance. Her inner beauty of Christ’s Spirit living in her shines through in these pictures, and all the more to those of us who are witnessing this journey Lisa is taking with God. These pictures could have only been taken with a loving eye. Thank you!
The one of Lisa on the ground praying.. gave me goose bumps! Amazing photos!
Beautiful in so many ways… thank you so much for taking these and sharing them.
Captured the essence of Lisa.
I have so many favorites. Lisa, you look beautiful. Whitney, you captured Lisa – not just her pretty clothes, but the person she is. Well done!
